Forwarding SMS received from 'unknown sender'
Is there a reg hack to enable the forwarding of SMS received from an unknown sender. I tried searching with relevant terms but came up with nothing. I'm hoping it's just some value in the registry that prevents it.
For an example of an unknown sender, use the sprint website to send yourself a text message (Bottom right corner) and you will receive it as unknown sender 'greying' out the reply options. thanks in advance. |
copy + paste?

That's what i've resorted to doing :-p But I'm hoping for a more elegant solution.

Sorry, I usually keep the replies relevant, but I couldn't resist... |
Do you copy and paste the entire message, or just the link?
When the users get it ( Say a Cingular/AT&T user ), does it show up on their phone as a picture, or just a URL? |
DnJ04, I c+p the portion that says 'you have new picmail go here:link' and leave out the header and footer.
On Sprint-BB,Palm/Nextel-New ixxx phones & Cingular/ATT-iphone it shows as a clickable link On Verizon it shows as text only, but I think this may be due to my contacts phone. What's really sad is my girls Treo755p can forward unknown sender texts...but then again she doesn't really need to do that since her PicMail works out of the box ](*,) As an aside before we upgraded phones and had Sammy 900/920 respectively all the above recipients received texts with a clickable link except for my verizon & nextel contacts who received the actual pic. I'm pretty sure how they receive it is dependent on both the hardware and s/w of the receiving phone and not so much the network. It's just a shame in my case that my Verizon contact is who I exchange picmail with 90% of the time and I am no longer able to reciprocate. |
