New Laptop
 

Well I am getting a new laptop today and my problem is it has Windows Vista. Now I know this is not the right place to post but I am concerned I will not be able to sync my phone to to it. Anyone have any input on this. I have to get this laptop for school so someone help. Will it void the Warranty on it if I get it formated back to XP?

The warranty is for the hardware, however the laptop manufacturer will likely not provide support for the software if you load Windows XP on it. I sync my Touch to two different Windows Vista PCs and have only had a problem once, which I outlined the solution for here:

I have a vista machine and have no problems snycing via cable or bluetooth.

The only problem I have had with Vista was flashing some roms. You can search google for Vista RUU to find info for having problems flashing. I haven't had any problems with flashing anything since. The phone syncs fine on my wifes laptop with vista and I haven't changed anything on it.

I'm using Vista too. The only problem I have is the unlocker. But that's because I'm running a 64bit version of Vista. Otherwise it syncs great. All the bluetooth functions on vista work great too. I can even use PAM on vista.
