HTC Touch and Photos
Hello Everyone,
I am having problem with the new HTC Touch that I got on Sprint. When I take pcitrues with my HTC phone I can not find those photos on my memory card nor on the phone itself. I explore the SD card and the phone folders but still cant find any of those pictures. Anyone else have the same problem or does anyone know what is wrong here? Thatnks for your help. |
my photos are on the sd card by default.

By default the pictures should be saved in \My Documents\My Pictures when using Main Memory for picture storage. If saved to the storage card the pictures should be in the \Storage Card\DCIM\100Media\ directory.
When you open the camera application, there is an icon in the bottom right corner with three lines. Click that to open the Camera Settings dialog. Under the Capture Settings tab you will see Storage. By default it should be set to Main Memory. If you have a storage card inserted, you should be able to choose that card by clicking the Storage setting and then clicking on Storage Card. |
I was at supercross and had the exact same problem. Everthing in my storage card was gone. 4 gig transend card is the problem I think. Try going to the storage card in file explorer and renaming DCIM ...... DCIM
Thats what I did to make it work till I formatted the whole card. |
Thanks everyone. I did try the above ideas and still having the same problem. Here is another reason why I may be running into this problem, I was having prblem with my first HTC Touch and I called Sprint and they mailed me a new HTC Touch. SO the card that I am using is the one that came with my first HTC Touch phone. Could this be the problem? Maybe it was interted in the first phone and was formated for the first card? But when I go to the DCIM folder on my storage card there is no file but I am sure there were couple of pictures that were taken using the both phones. Setting is correct and it is to save the pictures on my storage card.
Any more ideas. Also how do you reformat the card if I have to do that? But want to format the card after I recover my files from the card. |
I use Resco Explorer 2007 on my touch for a file explorer. Mostly becasue it allows me to overwrite files but also because it has a Registry Editor that comes with it. In Resco you can format the card easily... not sure if the stock File Explorer will allow that or not.
