Help with voice command please....

Well, I admit it. I installed MSVC 1.6. But surprisingly, it works well. I can activate it with my bluetooth handsfree car kit, and after the volume registry modification I can hear what it says very well. I then speak a command and it works, of course the confirmations have to be turned off or else it quits after I say correct. So I am happy with that, as I really only use it in my car for calls and it has yet to mis-understand what I've said.

But.... it doesn't work right through the phone. Sitting in my office, bluetooth is off of course, I activate voice command using the camera button and see the microphone icon, but never hear ANYTHING (I can hear the chirp using bluetooth by the way). So I speak a command and it works. But, say if I ask it the time, I can't hear what it is saying. If I hold the rear speaker right to my ear I can hear it, but its VERY soft and just static really. Confirmations work with just the handset, but I can't hear it ask me the name of who to call. I just see it and say "Correct" and then it dials.

It seems like this is really opposite of what others are seeing. Other than no confirmation over bluetooth, I have ZERO problems using it with bluetooth. And it works perfectly on the phone itself as well, even confimations, except I can't hear ANYTHING EVER. Would someone who uses it and has it working correctly on just the phone please tell me what your registry settings are at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Speech\AudioO utput\TokenEnums\MMAudioOut\
Audio Output and Bluetooth Advanced Audio Output

Or if there is any other ideas it would be appreciated. And yes, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Voice Command. And no, my phone isn't muted, the volume is all the way up. And no, I don't think phone alarm is keeping it from working, but that could be a possibility I don't know about. Thanks....

Hmmm? I would like to know how you have msvc working as well as you do now. Are you running a stock ROM, which carrier, and build of msvc? If you wouldn't mind, please post back with the info.

thread from the dead ... op was from January and first reply was from May

:)

Hopefully the op will reply with the registry edit. I'd be interested, too.

The only thing I have been able to find regarding adjusting the volume of announcments is the following registry location:

HKCU\Control Panel\Sound Categories\Voice Command1

There are two keys:
AttenutationCategory
InitVol

I'm Verizon Stock. VC 1.6 works fine in all ways for one way commands. It does not seem to hear me say "yes" or "correct" if it needs confirmation. If I can get it working this will be a good phone. Two hours ago I gave up my trusty 6700.....I sure hope I get this.
