TouchFlo and S2U

think i've done my homework and can find no way to fix the TouchFlo UI to work with Slide2Unlock. Anyone find a way that I have not? Someone mentioned an exclude list but I think that was with an alternative for the TouchFlo. Would like to know as I love the idea of locking the phone with a nice background visible. The slide option is ok but I'm more interested in hiding the Home screen when its locked (want a nice wallpaper visible)

what version are you using i'm using s2u2 .98 and it works fantastic no problems as far as i have seen except possibly it tries to use direct draw then you'll get a blank screen but you can turn that off in the registry and you're good to go not to mention that s2u2 includes a full screen or thumbnail caller id (similiar to iphone) hopefully this will help

X2 Mine works great and I love it 2! Mine reads standard as well on my digital clock, not military either. Check out this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353008 You can go into the registry and edit the format and change it from HH:MM to h:mm

In the S2U2 settings screen (start->programs->s2u2->s2u2 settings), under the "information" section, I have the following settings:
date format: option 2
time format: option 2
clock font folder: option 1
alarm/appointment time format: option 2

This combination of settings gives me an analog clock with your standard "2:25PM" time format. I assume that's what you're looking for?

i think what the OP is talking about is that even when S2U is activated you can still call up the TouchFLO Cube with a swipe up on the screen.

He's asking if anybody has been able to disable that action so the phone is actually locked (including the Cube).

normb8s 01-23-2008 07:57 PM

I agree. Im having the same problem of being able to bring up the touch flo interface in S2U2. Is there a way to disable this?

divxrippimp 01-24-2008 01:55 AM

Just wondering, what does this matter?

normb8s 01-24-2008 07:06 PM

this matters cuz who wants the cube to come up when u have the phone on lock....kinda defeats he purpose don't cha think. If the cube comes up u can than accidentally open programs. Wow I somehow feel i shouldn't have had to explained this.

OneOfOne 01-25-2008 03:50 AM

it matters because if true your phone is not locked. if its locked you shouldnt be able to do anything except unlock it.

Shaska 01-25-2008 04:04 AM

Wow, Just noticed you can do this... Good catch!

I don't see the big deal. So instead of swiping left to right to unlock it, you swipe bottom to top to unlock and open the cube at the same time. Either way you have to swipe first. Garnted the distance to swipe "up" is shorter I still don't think it is something that you are likely to accidently do.

it has done this several times for me, opened up the cube and dialed someone on my personal favorites tab in my pocket! not fun... especially when your in class and giving a speech at the same time.. heres an exclusion file i found somewhere a while back. it should do the trick

If you have the password lock on your S2U2 (ver 1.50) you don't want tho have the TouchFlo swipe being able to bypass the S2U2 or it defeats the purpose of having a password. The S2U2Exclusion will fix this. Also i noticed on a soft reset it does not ask you for the S2U2 password. What I have to do is use the regular Lock function (under settings) and check prompt if device is unused for 24 hours and add a password. Now if the phone is turned off or reset you will be asked for a password.

I have also attached the S2U2Exclusion.CAB file (not zipped). You need to do a soft reset after installing the CAB file.

Cheers!
ian
