Installing programs in .rar format?

I downloaded quickmenu 2.7. I was in the .rar format. I have only used .cab so far and always select install to main memory. Simple for my noob abilities. I put pocketrar on my device to deal with quickmenu. I put it on my card in a folder I use for archiving all of my self installed programs. I copied the .exe and the two .dll files to the windows folder, but I keep getting a error mesage that the .dll's failed to load. Where am I supposed to put these files when I install a program that is not in the noob .cab format?

Thanks

I'm not sure as I don't have your "rar" here, but besides .CAB files, some PPC programs come as .EXE files that are installed from your computer while connected to your phone with activesync,

This may be the case here, hook up phone and unrar the RAR on your computer to a file then open it and click on the .exe it should try to install to your phone if it's the case.

RAR is another compression method, think of it as a ZIP file. You need an app, like WinRAR, to extract the content inside and then install accordingly depening on whether it is an EXE or CAB file.

I used pocketrar to extract the .exe and .dll files. I have apparently put them in the wrong place though since I am getting the error message that the .dll is not loading. I just need to know where the files need to go when you manually install them as opposed to just clicking main memory when I install a .cab file.

i figured out what i did wrong. i ran the exe from the Winrar program before extracting the .dll files. so i cleaned all the files up and ran the exe again. it installed fine.
