Performance Hack Question

I just put on the performance and battery hacks on my touch and they really don't seem to have an effect other than lowering my memory. I was wondering what exactly they do?
I have search every where and cant seem to find an answer.

Thx guys!

As far as the performace hacks goes, I noticed when I am browsing that my pages will load faster. I am a big time Nebraska Huskers fan and my favorite site Huskerspedia normally took approximently 18secs to load. After the hack it now loads in about 14secs. So it is not a dramatic difference, but it is enough for me.

You're basically allocating more ram to whatever you tweaked. That just means it will have more space to work with, so rather than constantly deleting and writing new data, it can write more new data before the old data gets deleted. If you do something that requires that old data again, it won't have to write it... Something like that lol...

Anyway, I did the tweaks and didn't notice any extra performance. I'll probably just change it back later.

lol me too, it seem they actually make you close out out of programs slower. Do theses hacks take away from your battery life?
