PWI files... unable to open on PC
 

i can create/access pwi files on the htc no problem...
but cannot edit/view them on my vista PC.. (i have searched and searched google, and see i am in the same boat as many)

has anyone had any luck viewing PWI files on their PC?

i have VISTA ultimate, office 2007 (including oneNote)

i cant believe they make this so difficult! it is the same company!
please share your tips or ticks for getting this bugger to work!

I used Word 2003 and it opened them fine. I figure Word 07 should work. That's crazy that it doesn't

tell me about it!! and OneNote, same deal, cant open PWI files... i have tried everything... .
when you open them in word 2003, can you see drawings? or just text.. what about audio?

anybody have any ideas?

I used the note program native to WM5. It only let users input text. But it opened in Word 03 and displayed it properly. I don't know about audio and images.

this is a bummer...
1- the notes can;t be viewed on vista if sent from wm6...
2- i can't believe that the HTC doesn't sync with vista calendar/contacts... and that
you have to use outlook! does that make any sense?
the calendar for vista is much nicer to use, and it comes included with vista.... seems to me to be a no-brainer to make it work with it...

i open the notes on my vista machine in office word no problem, vistas included WP app wont work, yes the vista calendar/contacts app doesnt sync with wmdc its in the works according to the wmdc blog,

its also microsofts way to force people to pay for office and/or outlook

how do you do it!? i have tried.. no luck.. are you able to drag and drop, or must you SYNC (and in the process, the PWI files changes to something that WORD can read)
i have office 2007, and word will NOT open the PWI files...)
i cannot sync NOTES, when i do, i get a sync error... that goes for FILES too..

i can sync everything else just fine...
