HTC VOGUE (ALLTEL) not recognized by PC
Like everyone else I would like to tweek my VOGUE 6900. Things like unlocking it and customize it to my taste would be nice. but i have not been able to get the computer to recognize it, The PC does recognize by BlueTooth connection, but we all know that BT dont work to well to do ROM flashing Etc. so I like to be able establish a USB connection with ActiveSync. when I plug it in i can see that it is charging the battery of the phone, but that is it. the computer usually makes a sound or installs some kind of driver for it but is it not doing anything now. I used to teether internet from it via USB and everything about 6 months ago, I wonder is the mini USB is Damage within the actual cellphone? I have tried changing cables, different USB ports, re-installing ActiveSync and nothing yet has worked. Please help if you have any ideas.

If you can get good stereo out from the USB (headphones, FM transmitter, and/or multi-media speaker system), then it's a good bet USB's okay. Still, pocket fuzz can mess it up. Also, the chrome paint can chip off the band near USB socket, get into the socket, and short out crucial connection(s). With good bright lighting and a magnifying lens, you can use a small soft bristle brush to clean debris out. Oh, and have you tried checking and unchecking the box here?...
