looking for something similar...

my vogue (sprint) is on its way out i think.. screen has become unresponsive... i ordered a new digitizer.. and will give that a go.. but i think it is on its last legs... my question is.. what to replace it with??
there is nothing that jumps out at me? i like this little guy... besides it being a bit slow... it worked great...

what should my next phone be? i liked the fact that i could sync with outlook.. i hate all this cloud contacts/calender crap...

doesnt have to be outlook i guess (but something i can use locally, to edit, and sync)

what are you guys moving onto?

love to hear your input

pj

That's what I thought about mine over a year ago, but found a new digitizer that came with front housing bezel (no longer available AFAIK), and she took on a new and *better* life. The HTC logo screen is not as stiff as the original Sprint logo screen, most importantly, it's quite noticably more responsive. Info here:

Correction: That item IS available again, now even less expensive at $6.99 with free shipping from NY.

Pic shows it as 2 parts, but they come put together as 1 unit.

I had the Touch for a while too... And I loved it... I transitioned into a Touch Pro and later a Touch Pro 2. I get it about the size... The touch is highly pocketable and it just works... My 5 year old has had it since he was 2 (not active just to watch movies on and take pictures) And that thing is still rocking short of a few scrapes and bumps.

What to transition into is totally up to you... I can tell you that Windows phone 7 phones sync with Outlook locally and so do alot of the Android phones... I'm not here to convince you either way though. So my suggestion to you would be to go into a store and look around. There are many many new phones to choose from. Ask alot of questions and do alot of research. Good luck with your hunt.

HTC's new Wildfire S is similar in size (same height, even lighter weight), has better camera (5mp autofocus flash), bigger display (3.2" 320x480), faster processor (600mHz vs 400mHz), but has Android 2.3 OS. It's supposed to be on its way to AT&T real soon.

But instead, the Wildfire S has landed at T-mobile.

The do? What am I missing? I've spent the better part of the day trying to figure out how to get my Outlook Calendar, Contacts, Tasks and Notes to sync up since my Vogue digitizer died this morning. Now I've got Hotmail for the Calender and Contacts, Remember the Milk for my Tasks, and forget about Notes... and all my documents. Christ! What a nightmare. I setup Microsoft Live Mesh to sync my documents in their cloud only to find out it won't work with my office XP computer.

I ordered an Imagio on Ebay and I CAN NOT WAIT to get it so that I can return this toy and get back to work with WinMobile. Mobile Office doesn't even really exist anymore. This WP7 is huge disappointment and I think Microsoft has lost their ever loving mind! Hell the iPhone would be less trouble. I'm having flashbacks of mapping fields to CSV files with my Sharp Wizard!!!
