Using picture as wallpaper in Today Settings all messed up
 

Does anyone else have this problem? I have a brand new HTC Vogue and when I try to set one of my photos as the background wallpaper by going to Settings > Today, the photo I pick ends up all light and like, pixelated and looking like crap! What is going on? Is there an easy way to change my Today screen background without having to create themes?

yes. you need to open the picture first. then choose set as today background from the menu. it will then give you the option to adjust it's transparency.

OK can you help me with more detail, i have the pic salected on the little box in the appearance tab of the settings box

just takes a litte sweet talking and vwalla you get it done!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having this problem. No matter how I set a background image it looks all faded out.

Nevermind, found another thread with the answer. You have to set the image by going through Pictures & Videos :)
