HELP! Using your Touch at work
 

Here is the problem guys:

I want to use my touch at work because my employer blocks websites like Myspace,Facebook, etc. and instant messenger clients. So I decided to get MyMobiler (displays your touch screen on your monitor) to control my touch and use EVDO to surf the web and IM through my touch.

However, when I connect my touch via USB it seems to disconnect EVDO and use the desktops internet connection The EV disappears and two arrows along with the antenna shows up. SOMETIMES I can connect to facebook and other sites but most of the time I get an error message . If I disconnect the USB my touch goes to the site without any problems.

Is there anyway to stop my Touch from using my Desktops internet connection when connected via USB?

In ActiveSync under Connnection Settings I have:

This computer is connected to: [The Internet]

Allow wireless connection on device when connected to the desktop: CHECKED

You need to use the Internet Sharing application on the Touch. Also you would need to have Activesync 4.5 installed on the computer or the necessary drivers. Just do a google search for Activesync 4.5 to get the download. Not sure how to do the other method by using just the drivers but I did see an explanation on a forum somewhere on how to do it that way.
