what all this do? well, the software works just like the iphone keyboard and u really type excellent. when i tried it out i was amaze about this typing software but the keys were really small for my finger i needed to be bigger. with the BIG BLACK SKIN, the keys becomes much bigger. now i'm typing faster than my mogul without making a mistake.

Purely subjective. I find the HTC Touch keyboard/keypad to be perfect for my uses.

will it work on the Treo 700WX with 240x240 screen support?

I liked that one ok until I found the spb full screen keyboard. It turns sideways and actually takes up the full screen but one little bar to show what your typing. I also set up my camera button to turn this on, it works great.

Just like the iPhone keyboard, it's not nearly as good as a physical keyboard. But it's better than nothing. I use a combination of Transcriber and PCM Keyboard.

I can type so much quicker and more accurately with my Mogul's keyboard.

FSK is much better than the iPhone's keyboard...

i tried this keyboard since i have the full version software and the feedback was not good at all. the keyboard take the entire screen which is good but doest not work right at all. i have to press a key multiple time cause it would always show the key next to it and not the one i was pressing. it wasn't only me but everybody that was trying to type on my phone. i gave it up after reinstalling the software several time. this pocketcm keyboard is so much better.

if it was hitting the wrong key, your phone's screen needs to be realigned...

I really hate the keyboard that the touch comes installed, i cant stand it... so i use the spb keyboard, it fits my everyday need...

how do i isntall this? when i dl the cab, it just makes me extract all the files, and i cant copy it to my phone

Ahhhh, why does everyone hate touchpal? it does so much... its the best iv ever used and the most innovative, it does some crazy as shit with he flick of your finger...

Love Touchpal and use it with the threaded text messaging with no problem! It is now my default keyboard.

you probably have like winrar associated to .cab files...just put the .cab file directly on your phone and run it there, it will install the progz

I absolutely love it. I've defaulted this as my main keyboard and I use SPB Fullscreen as a secondary for when I need to do "extreme" typing (for Word documents and whatnot).

Touchpal is great for one handed use and quick texting / web browsing.

I like PCM Keyboard a lot, both the iPhone and Big Black skin. But I have to soft reset my Touch very often when I'm using that keyboard! Almost every day it happens my keyboard remains on my screen even when it doens't need to be there (yes even on my homescreen!). The only way to get rid of it is by soft resetting my phone :(

Has anyone else had similar problems with PocketCM Keyboard like Focaldesign? Also, does it only happen with those skins?

It would be nice to induct whether or not PCM is prevelantly buggy.

I encutentered it with BigBlack and iPhone skin. Sometimes the keyboard won't go away and I need to soft reset. Sometimes it's the other way around. I see the small options triangle on the right of the keyboard icon. That's only visible when the keyboard is active, but I don't see anything. Tapping the board on and off a couple of times doesn't help. Choosing standard HTC Touch keyboard with the option triangle doesn't show it either... again soft reset necessary...

(This is my first thread, I'm a newbie) I bought a Sprint Mogul in Nov, and I'm already thinking of a switch to the Vogue. My issue was the lack of hard KB on the Vogue. This SPB KB is great IMO. I loaded it on my Mogul to see if it would work for me and it def. does the job! Now I'll switch over!

I use the SPB keyboard also and love it. I went from a Q to the Touch and the biggest concern of mine was the loss of the hardware keyboard but the SPB one solved it, not as good as hardware but enough to make me love the Touch !

Same. You can even go to landscape and really rip. I tried it without the autocorrect and had much less success. Accuracy is very high with autocorrect on though. This is 8/10 of a hardware keyboard IMO and a critical find. I dont care for the suretype like designs for some reason.

I use SPB but find that the hot spot for each key needs to be smaller and more sensitive. My fat fingers strike multiple keys. A small hot spot for each key would give it more accuracy and a slightly higher sensitivity would avoid multiple strokes (not realy a problem but might as well tweak it a little). Just my 2 cents.

i'm going back and forth with PCMKeyboard and the new iPhone-like skin with Resco Keyboard version 5.0. the Resco keyboard seems to be more responsive and allows me to type a little faster... also seems that the preview-letters appear faster after typing compared to PCM.

My favorite right now is Touchpal found HERE: http://www.cootek.com/ It takes about a day of playing with it but typing becomes very quick with this keyboard. It almost figures everything out it self with the right settings. I may try resco kb, but I am quite content with touchpal at this point. It is half the price as resco right now ( $10.98) until Feb. 1st. BOO

spb keyboard password field?
 

Spb keyboard works great but ive been getting a funny problem. When i go to password fields i can type text in the spb keyboard but it will not go into the password field (still shows up blank). It works great everywhere else but everywhere i've had to put a password i have to switch to the standard touch keyboard. Any one else had this problem? Any fixes?

What are your settings?

I currently use both Spb Fullscreen Keyboard and Resco Keyboard. I have Spb Fullscreen Keyboard mapped to the camera button and Resco Keyboard as my default SIP.

why would u need a onscreen keyboard on a treo?

MakeMoves - I can answer both of your questions.

When you're typing in a password, you need to click the password field, then click the SIP button at the bottom of the screen (like would normally bring up a keyboard for text entry), select SPB Full Screen, then click on the tiny keyboard icon in the top left corner and start typing there.

It should work in all fields in all apps when you do it this way.

thanks, ye for some reason password doesnt work if you launch the keyboard through a button shortcut. SPB keyboard is great for typing though. I was getting ready to go back to the mogul untill i found it.

What's the latest and greatest iPhone themed skin for Pocket CM that you guys are using ?

We were pointed to THIS amazing iPhone like keyboard mod this morning, installed it, and WOW ... does it WORK GREAT !!
