Live Search Installation Problem
 
I downloaded the Live Search update but it will not run. I get the following:



A native exception occurred.

ExceptionCode: 0x80000002
ExceptionAddress: 0x00e88328
OK to terminate
CANCEL to debug



When I click either the OK or Cancel buttons, the screen shuts down.

I have tried downloading the .cab file from quite a few different sites thinking I might have got a bad download, but it is always the same. Help?

BUMP! I'm so pissed. I had this same problem, but after a hard reset, new download, and full sprint provisioning (basically a default phone) it worked fine. I was okay using the 3.35 ROM as it was because live search worked, but now I'm having this problem again! Outta nowhere! WTF???

Sounds like you've installed a program that is conflicting if it works on a "clean" 3.35 setup. I'd start by looking at the Remove Programs list and identify the programs you've installed AFTER Live Search. Might also consider any registry tweaks you've made as well.

GoodThings I think you're right, I emailed winlive support (quick response, wow) and they told me to expect this issue if another program is not releasing device memory. Wish I had time to uninstall/test/uninstall/test etc...funny thing is why is it only the MICROSOFT program that has this issue?? figures
