Touch Keypad hack?
 

Hey ya'll. so i love the touch, just hate a few things about texting.
can anyone hack the touch 12 key (t9 style) keypad?

the "space" button is much to small. could someone possibly remove the "enter" key and make the "space" key extended? ( while moving over the SYM button) so the bottom row would be.

(the space would be the full lenght of the "wxyz" (#9) button)
hope that makes sense.

any help would be great.

I have been thinking about this for a while now (for the 20key though). I hope someone can do it. The space is a little too small.

How do you keep the 20-key keyboard up all the time ?

I don't know. I've never had to change a default SIP in my life, lol. 20-key was default when I got the device.

I was think of something like too. I would even be okay with changing the color of the space button to red or something. I always end up hitting the sym key thinking its the space key.

I agree.....I like one of the keyboards (12 key) and want to use it all the time. A bigger space key would be VERY nice. I HATE the keyboard that pops up for passwords. Does anyone else have the same problem I do in getting the keyboard to close when you're through with it?? There are some scenarios that I have to hit the red key to get rid of the keyboard, but then I lose everything I was doing. A button to close which ever keyboard we use, would be nice too!

I use Touchpal and it is awesome. I one minor wish, but certainly no complaints. You can search for IMSelector and Touchpal to find information on how to download and set them up.

how about adding vibrate feedback? touchpal lets you move the space key's positions. that's as close of customization i get for the space bar.
