Dialing hard and soft pauses

This is my first official smart phone. I normally used a regular LG slider, nothing fancy, but I had my voicemail for work programmed in the speed dial to have a hard pause after dialing until the prompt for my mailbox then I could hit the button again and my mailbox number would enter with a soft pause, then my password.

Can you program that type of dialing on the Touch? Since I have to enter 11 digits after connecting it would be much easier to be able to program them to run automatically

Thanks

I was just wondering that myself this morning. Also, is it possible to create a speed dial without having to create a contact?

I use p and , . It works whereas my treo would never work.

Can you describe a little better how you program that in? I tried a "p" and the my next set of numbers but it doesn't work (maybe I didn't set it correctly) can you give an example?

Thanks

Anybody Know How to do this?

I still don't know how to program in hard and soft pauses. Has anyone been able to do this and could they explain how they did it? Voicemail is a pain, especially when driving since I can't feel the keys.

Use a comma (,) One comma is about a one second pause. I have used this for my work voicemail where I have to enter an extension and password, and it works.

Comma works, How about a hard pause?

The comma does work for a soft pause. Anyone know how to program a hard pause? I need to wait several seconds after dialing for the phone to connect and for the voicemail to prompt for my mailbox #. If I can't get a hard pause I may just use several commas together?

Did anyone ever figure out a way to do hard pausing?
