I get the phone pop up as well - I was told that is because of SPB software I installed.

I still can't get TV to work on mine - installed 1005, copied the cache file - still no luck so you are ahead of me on that - worked fine on my mogul though.
Thank you a lot. I just uninstalled the SPB pocket plus, and yes it seems to be the cause of the phone app popping up.

If spb pocket plus is conflicting with this phone, is there a way to modify the HTC launcher so that it can load "green" software from storage card? You cannot find the green software in the program list for sure.

It means you just use the software from its folder of files, don't have to run install program and stick stuff into the system. I may express it inappropriately though. And since you never "install" it, you cannot find it in the program list from which the HTC launcher can choose programs.

Ohh ok... I know what you mean, the term threw me off. I use SiRFGPSTweaker and it is like that.

How about if you make a shortcut to the EXE on the SD Card and place it under \Windows\Programs? It should appear under Start - Programs and, hopefully, also to be placed on the HTC Home Launcher tab.

Just tried to create shortcut in \windows\program and \program files. Didn't work out.

You sure? I created a Shortcut.INK (pointing to the .EXE file of the 'green' program) in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and it showed to be selected on the HTC Today plugin.

What I did was to create a shortcut for that specific program and then move it to \Windows\Programs, didn't show up in the list, then I moved the shortcuts to \Program Files, where it seems like the default place for programs in main memory; didn't show up in the list either. All these were done in Total Commander.

Can you try create shortcuts and put them in the two directories to see if they can be loaded up in the HTC list? I'll try to put them in the directory you mentioned above.

Thanks.
