More bugs for HTC to fix...
Since we're listing bugs, here's one:
If you dial a contact from the phone screen that has an extension, the phone will dial all of the numbers and the call will fail. If you dial straight from contacts, it dials fine. With the autocomplete settings, if you uncheck all of the xt9 options in the input settings and type a word that is not in its autocomplete library, the word will dissappear as you type it. Also, this applies to all keyboards, not just the HTC ones. Another reason to disable the whole autopredict option. |
Pibe38...I am using one e-mail account that is checked every 5 minutes, the only app that I have added is the HTC home customizer. Another problem I have is the backlight never turns off even though I have it set to turn off after 1 minute on battery power. I also make sure every thing is closed on a regular basis.

As far as the backlight... don't know what to day, mine seems to work ok and turns off after the time I set. |
Not too change the subject but does anybody get a error that says "setup is not a valid pocket pc application" when trying to install sktools? I downloaded it for a free trial version. Says it support wm6. Any clues?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will change my e-mail settings and see what happens. I am a Safety Director and need to get my e-mails as quick as possible but I will try something different in the settings. If anybody has any suggestions for the backlight please let me know. Thanks.

Use Mobie Registry Editor to modfiy the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\ and change the key "XT9SupportMSSip" from value "1" to "0". This will disable the XT9 for all keyboards except the Touch ones. |
