google sync
 
for about a week i have been having with active sync and google sync. between the hours of midnight and 5am typically i have server issues. you know the message, "something has changed on the server and all changes since last sync will be lost" type of thing.
anyone else out there having issue?
anyone know if google is working to resolve?
should i consider switching to a different service?

I have several of my friends, family, and associates having problems with Google Sync. I don't know what is ultimately going on, but I have read that Google is making changes to Google Sync. For example, they have made numerous changes to some of the security features Google Apps users. Mine is currently working. I deleted the Google profile and active sync and then started over. At the same time two other family member are having problems and can only get contacts to sync, not email or calendar.
I hope whatever Google has going it doesn't involve dropping Windows Phone support!

havinga brain blockage at the moment, where is the setting that overrides activesync and keeps the hand held settings?

I haven't been able to successfully sync for 6 days now. Hope this gets sorted out shortly.

You can try to delete the sync profile and re-do the server configuration, but that removes anything you have been sync'ing. So you run the risk that if it still isn't working you will not be able to get your info back on the phone.

With the people I have helped locally I have been at least to get contacts to sync. Main problem has been with calendar and email.

Did a quick hunt at the Google Sync help center... no new info. As I stated in my first post, I deleted my profile, set up the server configurations again, everything has been work fine for a week with no issues.

I had the same problem for about a week. It resolved it's self when I updated some items in my calendar. After I added the items the calendar items pushed through with no issue, then my mail poured in. ](*,)
