I Feel Like A Total Newb: GPS Help?
 

I recently was given an old HTC Touch, which I wanted to use as a GPS device or mess around with Android. I ran the latest Sprint Update, which is supposed to enable GPS, but it's not working in Google Maps.

Is there some setting somewhere that I'm missing?

I installed it, but it's not showing up in Today or as a Today option.

Go to Start/Settings/ Today/Items/Then check the box for the plugin.. Thanks T M Z

Yup, went there. Only *feel* like a Newb. It's just not there, despite the install.

Did you install it to main mem, and do a soft reset ?

Yup.

I'm actually going to bring it by a Sprint store. I'm noticing that Google Maps *does* appear to initialize the GPS, it's just not finding any satellites. Considering my weakest phone ever has been able to grab several sats (in the middle of mid-town NY), I'm going to see if my TEP and the no GPS can net me a new phone.
