Digitizer is out and Screen is Locked!
 

Maybe I'm the first person to ever have this happen to but here goes...

My Digitizer (I think) gave out. It just started bringing up TouchFlo and the calendar all by itself and now I can't touch anything on the screen.

No big deal I thought. My phone is old and I can still access my Contacts with the silver user buttons, and at least read text messages.

Well, somehow my phone lock icon got pressed by someone and now I can't unlock it. And to TOP it off, the sound is on Silent, so I can't even receive calls b/c I always miss them now!:-x


ANY ideas on how to unlock the phone? Soft reset didn't work, My Mobiler didn't work. No ROM fancy dancy over here, just straight outta the box WM 6.

New digitizer is on the way but I need my phone ASAP.

Do you have a screen protector on top of your digitizer? If so, remove it. Mine did similar things when my digitizer started going bad and I removed the screen protector and it functioned again.

this happened to me once. It might not even be the digitizer. I was using stock rom for bell and other than the usual headaches and what not i managed to get my phone locked up and i would see text messages coming in and couldnt do anything. i had to hard reset the phone. even my mobiler wasnt connecting such a pain in the ass. so get windows 6.1 or higher so u wont have to go through that again

Yeah, if you can't get anything to respond then the previous poster is right your only option is a hard reset. :( Obviously, that is rough if you haven't done a backup lately. You could wait until you install the new digitizer and see if it responds then but I don't know if you can or want to wait that long.
