Overclocking is increasing the CPU speed. It can occasionally cause some freeze ups but its pretty nice. Also I wanna try your ROM as soon as I fix my computer!

heh well, you'll be excited to know that it may be up tonight :] i'm flashing it on now, i have three-times before and have only been sucessful with one of them.. so cross your fingers. if it does work though, office apps are on, voice command is on, the overclocking is [supposed to be] on, left a couple old things.. took out some stuff too though. left all of the today plugins and added one i beleive.. i'll make an official post here come soon. 100%done :] rebooting now..

Ok, so i have the rar on my sdcard. What do i have to do to flash this from the sd card? I cant use my work box, and i only have my Macbook...

I havent seen or used the google one, ill look into it tonight. phone bill was due and I forgot so ive been off a couple days.. v3 is still having loading problems, monday ill definatly have it up if I have to load OEMs one by one and flash it like that lol. I would work on it now but im heading to kansas city in an hour or two; I love traveling lol.

as far as the whole mac thing, I ask shadow all my helping questions but aren't you supposed to be the mac source neg? lol

If it is setup right, you will need to do the following
- extract the rar file to a folder
- copy the *.nbh file to the root of your SD card
- rename the *.nbh to VOGUIMG.nbh
- put phone in bootloader mode and it should autodetect the VOGUIMG.nbh file and start flashing the phone
- once done with the flash from SD card, soft-reset the phone manually

Normally a preemptive warning about the fact your SD card will need to be formatted to FAT32 and 2GB or less in size would have been mentioned hence the fact using the original SD card that came with the phone (512MB) is perfect to keep to the side with whatever current ROM you are using (named as stated above) as if something should occur and you find it difficult to flash with your computer - the SD card makes a great backup method

As your on a MAC, I can only assume you are able to sync or communicate with your phone, if so, copy the rar to your Mac and then follow the steps above as Ive noticed the SD card method works best if the VOGUIMG.nbh file is the only file on the card

SPB MS3 - all in all is a nice UI for the phone, takes a bit of getting the hang of unless your a user of previous versions prior to it

- Quite fast on a good, well built custom ROM as a base
- Little impact on memory or speed of the device used on dependent on the previous statement of the quality of the ROM to begin with
- quite a bit of customizations although I found a common background was a bit more difficult to achieve than desired

Please note though that SPB MS3 is a paid application, so unless your either;
A) going to be including warez into your ROM
or
b) installing it as the default UI and giving the users a warning its going to disable itself after 15 days
or
C) purchasing a free to your end user (multi-user) license from SPB

its really not going to be feasible, so even considering including it as the UI is futile at best
Now including a link to the SPB MS3 site for users to download would be an option for those wanting to check it out - but just for your own sake of mind mention in HUGE BOLD and FLASHING text that you are not responsible and not available for supporting the SPB MS3 app if used because believe me you definatly dont want to see your ROMs thread suddenly grow to 300 pages and 294 of them are about issues and compatibility of SPB MS3 LOL

Oh I know my mac. I was just inquiring as to how one could flash your rom from the sd card. I think I have it figured out. I'm going to try it tomorrow.


EDIT: just saw your post thanks doug. That's exactly what I was going to do. I'm at my gf so I have a windows box just in case.

Ok, you are taking to long im flashing V2 from my SD in like an hour. First, gotta get this paperwork off my desk an onto someone else's. Let you know if i like it more than NFSFAN'S, which i didnt really care for.

i had it cooked sunday night, but it took too long from loading screen, i think it's because i loaded too much into it, i just revised it and included a new version of smartphone tracker to catch those theives :] anyways, if it works out right it'll be up in an hour or two. sorry for all the waiting, i've had a crazy past couple weeks.. it will be up though i promise.

v.02 seemed incomplete to me. I have moved on to another rom. Whenever you get v.03 sorted out(uploaded) I may flash it.

completely understood, i can't get my new kitchens past boot for some reason.. i included the new core everytime i updated the kitchen, but that's the only thing i'm seeing could be the problem..

i really didn't change much besides the splash and some SLIGHT program changes, but it has the weather tab and a couple other good addons, new smartphone tracker is on there..

anyways.

sorry like i said about the wait, same link, same folder, new rom[kinda] when i have time to actually **** with it for a night it will be up.. everything is so hectic, sorry </3

it is pretty sweet though if i say so myself.

its probably buildos_config.txt or txt docs from device bases or buildbase.post your selections.txt or save and attach build process.txt from the kitchen.it has nothing to do with oems for sure

those are all today plugins, theyre on there under the today/items tab. vin you telling me I need to show you the build log or I need to get my txt files changed.. its getting frustrating but im once again on the road in my home state;

great looking rom infamous. but i can't get gps to work for google maps. anyone else have this problem?

oh never mind, just started working, had to do a soft reset.

i'm having trouble with getting the weed pic- there is none for the background. i've went through all the pics but can't find that one. any help where it might be?

heh maybe I should package in some of my images I use for backgrounds and other miscellaneous crap..

I would throw my music in too, but idk how well the community likes lil wayne lol, and that being nine/tenths of my music; you get the idea.

I have a bunch of cabs on my phone right now that ive been trying, plan on including most, I got some from here, like footprints ripped from diamond[I think] and the diamond's youtube, smartphone tracker[newest updated may09], paint for when youre bored and have nothing to draw with.. a new dialer.. and if I research making themes which I know ive seen on here before, there will be the 'super green theme' lol.

I might hit this guy up see if he can do some icons and such for me, summer is here now :]

any deeper details you need or something you want, just tell me ill check to see what the memory is like.

ohh yeah and if you know a good overclock besides 'htc performance,' ill install that in too. you'll have the option to use it or not so yeah..

I am a day into trying out the preview v.02c and so far so good.

I am STILL unable to get cyberon VC to work with my bluetooth to initiate a call. Am I missing something?

If you could put MS VC instead it would make the rom perfect (or if you can help me to get cyberon working ](*,) )

youre the second person that said that about cyberon, ill change it back around, someone broke my bluetooth headset so I wouldnt be able to trouble shoot for you. the cabs I found last night just added 4 icon honeycomb to start menu and a facebook app and im, and two new titanium panels, three if you include the updated titanium weather :]

as long as I get the kitchen to load my OEMs right; were in business. id say 7 out of 10 of my OEMs work, maybe I can get shadow, codybear, or vin to OEMize for me.. like I said, this week I garantee something will be produced.
