His is the only vogue rom that footprints works in :-\

Yeah, I thought about that, but I would rather wait for your next version. I've had more irritating issues with his ROM in the 3 weeks since I flashed it than I did in 6 months of using your v1.6. Still I am curious to see what he's done this time...

Check the change log often to see updates on what's going on

Cant wait to see what you do with it now. Been using the new clean version for a couple days now and have to say i like the improvements so far.

Nice to see you back WDM, I used to run your old rom, but some bugs in it (mainly dealing with S2A/S2U) made it unusable for me. So far no bugs with this one, though the other one was bug free at first and would become buggy after 2 weeks to a month. It would seem like s2u/s2a would fight with the normal answer screen and it would stobe back and forth between the two screens and I couldn't answer EITHER.

If the problem comes back, is there any way you could maybe make it an option to uninstall?

Otherwise, great rom, just trying to find a cab now for my favorite game, ICBM. I have an OEM pack that had it in it but don't know how to install it. Gotta love the games though, nothing saves the mind like games when the wifey drags ya shopping.

Two questions, also about installing / uninstalling -

1) Can anyone explain if it's possible to uninstall things (like S2U and the games) that are cooked into the rom? I read that if you have the same cab used by the rom cook (preferably), you could install that, then uninstall it to have it removed?

2) Are apps better / faster / more optimized if they are installed in the kitchen phase and cooked into the ROM (as opposed to being installed manually)? I'm trying the clean version now, and I'm realizing I'll end up installing at least half of the apps in the full version...

1. Yes it's true....only if the OEM was perfectly installed, and mine are (promise)

2. Sometimes....

Let me answer this one by saying....you could have turned off the callid program :D

But now I have it set to where it only shows up when it's locked :D

Thanks so much for your work (I did donate a few bucks last week, btw - hope you get plenty more!).

As for uninstalling stuff, will you be posting an updated collection of cabs/OEM once your rom is "finalized"? If so, I'd love to hear what you think the most resource intensive apps are. It's an incredible convenience that you've carefully configured so many things to "just work" right out of the box in the "full" ROM - not sure if I can give it up! thanks again!

well i never will put something in my rom if it doesnt "work" correctly, thus the reason why Footprints not included :)

But the most intensive app I know of would be....probably igo8 with high quality tts

Hehe, I tried that, I tried to do everything I could think of but STILL sometimes it would reappear even after I had disabled it. Very odd, no one could help but others were experiencing the same thing. It appeared to just be a bug with S2U/S2A.

Also, something in this new one fixed a weird bug I was having with bluetooth. On your old rom, I could pair with my headunit easily, but if I tried to reconnect it would get locked in an endless spinning ball. Instead I would have to delete the pairing and remake it. Now I can just click connect enter the code and done. No spinning ball so far. THANKS SO MUCH.:headbang::headbang::headbang:.

One thing I found quite annoying on the clean version was inability to have AudioManager keep playing when the screen is off. I fooled with S2U2 forever until I realized it wasnt even the problem. Even with the app disabled it still would pause.

In the end I had to edit a registry key to keep it playing.

HKLM/Software/HTC/AudioManager/Config

edited "Enable Suspend" and set value to 0 - Now all plays well.

Another thing I realized too (this was on the last clean version too in the 1.x days) is that "trimming" an MP3 from the "set as ringtone" function is missing. If you install the MTC MP3 Trimmer all is well. Didnt know if this was intentional or not.

Keep up the good work man. Glad to see this up and running. Would swear a new GFX driver is in use or something because it looks a lot more crisp as well. Good works man, Ill be tossing you $5 here as soon as my iTunes royalties post to my PayPal account.

Ok, I will be updating my registry for that, and I forgot that they have all those settings in the M2D now....so I will have to add Mp3 trimmer to the clean rom

P.S. check "Change Log" for a big update
