Ok to the Manlia problems.. It seems to be problems with build 20 of manila since the earlier builds worked fine.. Im not sure.. That seems weird though.
As for GPS.. njkid answered that
Quickmenu... I took it out just to take it out it does not cause any problems so feel free to install it

well, any program i use, the gps part works fine as for aquiring signals, but communicating those signals via internet seems to be the issue because i was never able to log into a server, and with live gps, the software freezes and quits when the camera initializes, how do i fix that? can u link me to the solution?

thanks

I am on alltel so I use the alltel settings for this. This rom is not carrier specific so its next to imposible for Dette to have all the settings for each carrier already setup. So when you flashed to OMJ's or NFSFAN's roms I'm sure you chose your specific carriers rom. Which will have all the correct settings already. I hope this helps or at least makes some sense lol..

Ok. Here is the situation I have. I have a new Alltel touch fresh from XBM. I have unlocked with Coke 2.31, flashed Dette 2.4, ran the alltel carrier cab, applied the shadow tech fix and reg edits. When I run gps software like Google maps, it responds as if the location is turned off. My program port is 4, hardware port is none with baud 4800 and gps is managed automatically by windows.

Am I missing something?

I am ready to upgrade, since a rom I installed before is starting to give errors.

Are you working on a update that would be release soon?
or should I just flash this version for now?

The problems im having with connecting to 3rd party servers and getting the camera to initialize using dette diamond edition 2,4 beta? Are these issues that will be gone in the next version because im waiting for it to release, or is this just something i should give up on and move on and look for something else?? because i was extremely happy with this rom but im dissapointed that i dont have full functionality...

So far your ok but you forgot one step. You need to edit the gps settings using QPST. Which you will find the process in Shadowtech's thread.

Yep, did that too. I have flashed Conflippers roms several times in the past and did the qpst and reg edits from shadow techs post. It always worked with those roms... But this time it is kicking my butt. I use the GPS a lot and want to get it working.

When I run software like garmin or tomtom they never find a gps device. Google maps comes up like it is trying to lock but sat. count is always 0 and the position is never fixed.

Ok, one more thing to check is the registry settings. Make sure that the shadowtech cab installed correctly because I've installed it before and it didnt actually make the changes. Also double check QPST's IP addy and port#. Make sure you have the latest PRL and your outside the first time you try to get a gps sat. I hope some of this helps. These are things I usually go over twice sometimes three times.

In case you dont know where to look in the registry. Using totalcommander (or something similar)

\\Plugins>registry>HKLM>Software>HTC>SUPL AGPS-- Check ServerIP and ServerPort for the correct settings. For Alltel I use 205.142.19.100 for the ServerIP and 8888 for the ServerPort.

Now if none of this works I really recommend doing a hard reset. Because if all of these settings are correct then you've got something else going on with that phone and nine times out of ten a hard reset will fix them.

Also, using programs like Garmin or TomTom you will need a gps primer like GPSToday or something like that. When I run ONC8 I also prime the GPS by running GPSToday first to get a GPS lock then I launch ONC8.

Hey dette, how about releasing a kitchen with this next release? With vet out of the picture and m3jorge MIA, you are the last chef left building off of vet's kitchen.
