Good stuff ... not a Telus subscriber, but I want to take a look at the v.3.07 OEM stuff from HTC.

Best regards,

Hmmm, not too sure bed, does your gps work primed? if not maybe you have a defective radio. may be a stupid question but did you check the gps settings? i always leave em to auto but you may have to set them manually or to a diff com port. Sry for the long reply time, got tiered and p***** out, go figure rofl

Alright. Think I found another fix. virser_gps.dll is missing. Find the file in oemdrivers of a kitchen, or the windows folder of a gps rom, and copy it to your wndows directory. My locks went from 5 to 10

Didn't see much of a change with the dll here in an area with 7 to 8 locked, i'll try in some known bad spots lata. used the dll posted here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=26114

Alright, I think I got to the bottom of this gps nonsense. I belive the problem is that the GPSone data in the radio is not set up properly. I opened up the settings with QPST, and the PDE informaiton is not setup.

the settings should be as follows
Allowed = checked
Assistanc-Spherical = checked
PDE IP Address = 216.198.139.92
PDE Port Number = 8889
PDE Transport = IP
Position Calculation = PDE

After flashing the new rom, everything is blank. After entering this data, and enabling smartmode in HKLM/Software/HTC/SUPLGPS, i get a solid 5-6 locks in my basement. These results are on the Telus leaked radio, rom and PPST

However, on the 3.42 radio, i was getting 6-8.

GFR, you're a certified genius. Before ugprading I was quite happy with RLMCS's ROM, but once I experimented with this ROM the GPS officially hooped and never went back to normal...until I QPST'ed it last night. First time I've ever seen TWELVE satellites locked inside my house, in seconds!

One thing: I checked all the GPSOne options on the left as I suspect without them, non-aGPS functions are hampered. Not sure though. But I travel often out of town and to the US (turning off data) and the GPS needs to be able to function without assistance, if ever required. Any feedback on doing this?

Cheers!
