From all of the forums I have read, you have a very good chance of being charged, somewhere down the road even if they see a flash. Too much $$ to not just brick it altogether!

So is pulling the USB mid flash enough?

Nice collection, also you can add this trick:

If you can't get your phone authenticated back onto the network, REMOVE the battery for a minute. Then start the phone back up and dial *22801

This can be done instead of calling for a new a-key.

This will program a phone to alltel on the eastcoast. Altell is "b" side here. the correct one for eastcoast is *22800 as vzw is "a" side here.

I am looking through the new ROMs for sprint and OMJ's especially. Are there any new Verizon ROM's using the new sprint ROM?

drellisdee,
I have a 6900 on Verizon as well. I accidentally let Sprint customizations run on it. Since then I have reflashed it, skipped customizations and authenticated it on a Verizon "Preferred Network" (i have a triangle network icon). I can make and recieve calls and SMS, but cannot connect to the data network (says wrong user name and password despite me putting in the correct information ... <cell#>@vzw3g.com and password "vzw"). Do you know what I should do to get the data piece working again? And do you think my calls are being placed as "roaming" calls?

I'm using the 3.42.30 radio and re-flashed it using the PPCKitchen Verizon custom ROM.

guys, I have to ask about:

AFTER THE UPGRADE, DO NOT TAP THE SCREEN TO BEGIN!!! IF YOU ACCIDENTLY DO, DO NOT LET THE CUSTOMIZATION RUN WHATSOEVER!
You can prevent the customizations from running by going through the screen alignment and other things then poking the reset button at the bottom of the phone with the stylus

when the phone says "customizing in 3 seconds".

can I just remove the battery from my phone to stop the CUSTOMIZATION ?

You made a big mistake letting Sprint customizations run... Im going to send you through a very risky operation.

In order to make your XV6900 Default back to verizon. you have to flash back to a stock verizon Radio/Rom.
Since verizon doesn't have a "Shipped" stock rom. some nice person made a stock rom for us :)

Your are a test dummy here. try this and see if it works. If anything it will brick your phone and you can get it replaced lol

Download and run:
ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/Im...e_unlocker.exe
after the unlocker DO NOT LET THE OS START UP!!! HOLD CAMERA+POWER+RESET buttons until it goes back into booloader(rainbow screen)
If it says 0.40.coke then continue...Leave it on the rainbow screen then flash

Flash to:
http://rapidshare.com/files/10745929...RUU_signed.rar
Let the verizon customizations run!

Then start the tutorial from the first step!!!

PLEASE let me know the outcome.
Im currently searching for a safer method
EDIT: NOT A GOOD METHOD

If you want to, Sure. I would just leave it at the "tap device to begin" Screen. It will still connect to activesync

PPCKitchen.org is using the latest Sprint rom and works on Verizon.

Is this a proven Method? I need to make sure it's not just a rumor before posting it in "troubleshooting"
