Then I open up the gps today maps, google maps or the cool telenav program included in this rom. GPS works really well - either when walking outside or even in my car driving around (I am careful I promise).

I have been testing this out yesterday and today with the following method. Turn on gps, mess around with googlemaps etc., turn off gps, put the phone in standby anywhere from 30 mins to a few hours, turn the phone back on, turn the gps back on, mess around etc. It seems to work well everytime.

I was previously using gpsviewer to "prime" the gps and it seemed to work also but I think it was taking longer.

I soft reset a couple times while I was testing the gps but I'm pretty sure this way has been giving me consistent gps locks.

Not saying that this is new information by any means, but just wanted to let people know that the combination of OMJ's rom (very good btw), the titan 3.35 radio, the gpskickstart cab, and the regedit seem to be working well for me. If anybody is having trouble getting locks then maybe give this a try, hope it helps somebody out there,

I tried to duplicate your success as closely as possible. I've got it working sometimes now, which is better than the never getting a lock I had before!

The only difference I see is I'm using the 3.37 radio, though I tried 3.35 as well.

GPS works find from a fresh reboot, locks on in a minute, and even works inside.

But after awhile, it stops working. I tried turning off then on phone (which I heard resets some things related to GPS) and I have the kickstart program installed.

Of note, I noticed that when GPSToday wouldn't find any sats, if I tried to open GPSViewer on COM4: it got stuck at opening the port. Scanning with it said there was no GPS on that port.

I think I've had 4 or 5 "I got it!" moments. After the first one I wait now and test it for a couple days, but have had no consistant luck either.
