Re: Unbricking Vogue / and downgrading SPL
Hi Everyone,
I'm a bit googly eyed from reading through previous posts and a tad confused. I currently have a Telus HTC Touch Vogue that I've recently run their released rom patch to upgrade to windows mobile 6.1 (plus the gps feature etc.). I'm really not happy with 6.1 as none of my voip apps function properly (skype, fring etc. - mic doesn't work) plus a few other annoyances. I never use the gps and I would really like to get the phone back to windows 6.0. I'm assuming from the previous posts that I would infact have to flash the phone back using a signed rom. ImCoKeMaN has one in his FTP (thanks for that) that seems to be the original rom (WM6.0). My real question is... is this as simple as copying the nbh file to the sd flash mem card and doing the reset as mentioned? or is it more involved? All I want to do is go back to WM 6.0. I appreciate all your help, Thanks |

Re: Unbricking Vogue / and downgrading SPL
Okay now I am ****ed, I was inquiring about how to load over at a cooked rom onto my HTC Touch, and a guy xda was trying his best to help me and told me to go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835 so I went there and followed the steps, I thought I was doing the right thing come to find out it was completely the wrong thing. so I kept getting stuck at the Smart mobility screen and I kept reseting it hoping it would fix it. Well it didn't and now my phone wont even turn on I did get it to turn on ONCE and when I did I put the first small file on it, then it did the loading thing and did a soft reset, I went and put the second sprint rom on the card and now my phone will not turn on at all...I think I am ****ed could someone please help me if there is a way to fix this?

Re: Unbricking Vogue / and downgrading SPL
I have probably tha dumbest question in tha world but I am a newbie at this whole hackin gig and I loaded Alltell Rom on my cricket flashed mogul..... It loaded all tha way to 100 % and the phone was supposed to restart but it did not although it did turn off.. I think that I have officially messed up my phone since none of tha lights work on it and when it connects to my computer it shows up as a modem.
Am I accurate in saying that I totally jacked up my precsious Mogul!???????? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

I don't know if this was addressed earlier on in the last 35 pages but a 4GB cards works if you partition it to something less than 2GB. Acronis or Ubuntu.

Re: Unbricking Vogue / and downgrading SPL
I have the exact same problem on a Verizon branded XV6800. I believe that the bootloader has become corrupt. Windows device manager shows a HTC Modem ad a HTC Diagnostic Interface com port. I think you could use mtty to talk to the Diagnostic interface, but I have no idea how to install a new bootloader. Can anyone shed some light on how ti unbrick these phones? Please...
