I have a Verizon 6900 that I flashed with the new OEM 6.1.
I then flashed the 4.1 unlocker so I could install a cooked ROM
I am stuck in the bootlegger screen with 0.41 coke tried to reflash 6.1 rom and it hangs at 44% with a com error. will not connect to activesinc
(windows moble on vista)
I have also tried cooked ROM's and only got to 98%
any Ideas?

you cannot use GPS without a data plan
im not sure what to tell you because most ROM's are GPS and you probably installed one but the unlocker you used is NOT for GPS

Hi so i just had my bell vogue replaced and now the radio version is 3.42.50. The only thing is I can't install custom roms now. I tried unlocking with 2.31 but that didn't work. How do you unlock a rom that already has the gps in it?

Hi Guys

I have a problem trying to unlock my HTC Touch via 2.31 unlocker. I get to the tricolor screen - disconnect and reconnect USB as requested - but then I lose my activesync connection. Anyway I keep going and it runs the RUU and seems to upgrade very fast. But then my Touch just restarts with no changes except what a hard reset would do. I want to flash a GPS rom so the .41 unlocker no good for me. Can anyone see where I'm going wrong?

there is one step missing, you`ve done just unlocking, now you`re unlocked.
now you must install the rom its a similar process, if the rom is from the same carrier no problem but if its different you must reset when the 3 seconds appears just after calibrating screen, password and date.

I have a problem with the 2.31 SPL.

It starts flashing but when it gets to the 8% the phone just restarts. I have tried different computers and different ROMs and it always do the same.

I can flash the phone if I put the rom file in the microsd but I want to be able to do it from the computer so I don't have to take out the memory, copy the file and put it back... too much work ;)

My phone: Verizon HTC TOUCH (Vogue) flashed to OMJ.3.09.01

I followed all the steps (so I thought) to flash to OMJ.3.09.01. However the GPS is locked so I must have not successfully completed step one – unlocking.

Here is my question - is it possible to run the unlocker after flashing to OMJ.3.09.01?

When I run the unlocker now I see the “Image Version:” as blank when the start up screen reports on the “Current Information About your PDA Phone”. The unlocking then proceeds very fast and I get a “Cannot Open USB Port” at the end, but it does reset the phone. Unfortunately the GPS is still locked afterward.

I don’t believe that there is an original ROM for Verizon - - - am I out of luck?

GPS on the vogue 6900 doesnt nee a data plan, it can be used without an internet connection.
The best way you can checkit is installing gpsviewer on your pda, then run gpsviewer select scan and it will be shown on port com 4 select this option com4
then select start gps, then select in the lower labels gps status and you will see your gps checking the satellites, the best way to try it for first time is on a window or in an open place it will take some minutes to lock some satellites then yout lattitude and longitude will be shown, also altitude.
try to move your direction will also be shown an will indicate the speed you are moving and there is no internet connection needed.
you can also use the gps in case your phone gets stolen.
you will use internet with the gps only if you use google maps from the internet, but if you get a program with the option to save and use the maps on your phone you will also use the option to know where you are with no internet connection .

ok, so i finally decided to bite the bullet and unlock my vogue. i am using the 2.31 unlocker, and my phone is 6.1. my problem though is that everytime i get to where it runs the ruu. the progress bar goeas from 0% to 100% really fast, and then it just performs a hard reset without unlocking my phone. i cant really figure out what i'm doing wrong. any ideas? thanks in advance
