This is a simple reference for those searching for the “right” ROM. Don’t want to search? Okay, then don’t, here is a collection of the Chefs and links to their respective threads.


This list is in no particular order other than the fact that it seems appropriate to list No2Chem first seen he’s the one who introduced the first WM6.1 ROM to the Vogue community. The list of people to thank is too long, but you all know who you are. Big time thanks to anyone out there who’s spending time to improve the Vogue. PPCGeeks Rock!!

I remember as a Apache noobie that Konceptz had put together basically the same thread that I checkout often, so I thought it would be good over here as well. ROM's are popping up left and right and Noobies want to know what's out there, so Voila.

Anyone have a mirror to download these Roms from? Pretty much all of the links to the FTP site don't work :(

Just got a Touch and just started looking to see what's out there. Thanks 360 for making this an easier task.

Anyone know if and where I can download an official 6.1 rom that will work with my Sprint Touch? I don't want to start with a custom rom. I like the way the phone came. I just want to upgrade from 6.0 to 6.1. (Mostly for the PIE enhancements and the longer battery life.

I would like to throw DCD's ROM in the hat. I flashed it on my new Touch a day after I got it and haven't looked back. It's great!!

It is a clean ROM with no junk. EVERYTHING has been removed.

I added the link to the front page. I'm running a version of this ROM myself. This is a very clean rom that runs fast and without lock ups. There are still a couple bugs being worked out, but nothing that can't easily be fixed.

Should add the OEM roms by JD. They are what a lot of people ask for "I want the same thing that came with my phone but just with 6.1 added.."

Do any of these ROMs enable the internal gps? Don't care so much about evdo right now, but would love to enable the gps!!!

Has any chef built one for the XV6900 (Vogue for Verizon)? would a Sprint Rom work on it? I found a Verizon RUU.

I think I have successfully bricked my Bell HTC Touch. I successfully unlocked my Touch and then installed a custom ROM found here: ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/OMJ/ROMS/.
The rom 100% installed, but upon automatic reset my Touch has moved into a continuous reset loop. The touch goes to the Windows Mobile 6.1 screen and then resets itself. I have hard reset several times, with no luck in stopping the loop.
I have also tried to re-load my carriers rom and I have tried to run the custom rom again with no luck. The problem is that I can not establish a connection between the PC and the Touch. The reset must occur to early. If anyone knows of any
way to force a connection or stop the loop, please let me know. Otherwise, all I have is a brick for a Touch.

Believe me I'm no expert only a novice but what about flashing from your SD card!!! find the rom you want eg the file with the .nbh extension, rename to VOGUIMG.nbh copy to your SD card and hit power,camera and reset and hold till the tri color screen comes up and it should automatically start flashing. There are probably better instructions on the forum somewhere. Hope that helps.

I think its time to update this sticky, we have a couple of new GPS\Rev A Roms floating around, and i foresee more on the way.

I completely agree with Slypher.. Can we add a GPS/Rev-A enabled rom section to this sticky?!

I'm probably going to get flamed big for this but...

I don't understand why we have to have so many "broken" ROMS out... I think the "chefs' should get together and work on fixing the GPS issues first then they can go about adding their own "flavors" to them. This just seems to be the typical Microsoft way of doing things...

I agree with the believer. I am trying all types of roms and some work great some don't. It would be nice to see a more organized GPS rev A section and then the different 'flavors'.

I had the same problem.. I had to use the unlocker and then I ran the rom install. worked the second time around. try try again
