ppst.exe is what really makes the gps work so well and, unfortunately, is limited to sprint right now.

EDIT: but lol in answer to your question yes i think so, partially. you would just have to poke the reset hole as soon as you saw it installing "PPST.exe". so kinda :S

Ok, I found ppst.exe (in the Windows folder) and ran it. What is this PRI thing that it updates and how do I make sure it has been actually updated to v2.03.

go to device information. just make sure your pri is ~2.03 and prl is ~ 60612

It shows:

PRI version: 2.03_003
PRL version: 60610


I called *2 to try and get my PRL version updated, but cs is closed. Doesn't the PRL version get overwritten anyway when you load a new ROM?

i dont think either the PRI or PRL are re-written unless you are flashing a radio rom. but those are the correct numbers, try gps and you will see how incredible it is!

Yeah, the Sprint Navigator is pretty cool. Too bad you have to pay additional even with a SERO plan (unlimited data).

there was a nice program "voice commander" or something on derek release 19. I installed this new release 20, Everything works fine, including GPS yAy! :drunken:
I just miss this voice commander app.

Sometimes I have problems where no matter what number I ENTER, it always tries to match it against a contact and calls them instead.

Anyone else get this? Its real frustrating...
