if your account isnt a pop account...im not sure. and ya you bet no prob.

Yeah,... it's my POP Verizon account. But the strange thing is this never happened prior to flashing 6.1,.... any of the 6.1 builds/versions. Before populating the inbox with new mail, it clears out all the previously received mail, read or un-read. Kinda annoying. My quick get-a-round was to set it to manual, then 'move' all mail to a newly created 'Inbox Keep' folder BEFORE pounding send/receive! Works, but what a pain in the you know what. Got no problem with accounts setup with Sprint's Mobile Email cab and Windows Live. They're fine.

Right now, I'm searching for a skin to put my dailer back to stock. I now know the dailer can be skinned,... I've been playing with Hitman's and others, but I can't find a cab for the stock HTC/Sprint skin.

Hey thanks Old Man,... much appreciated. Also, been spending a good deal of time playing with your basekit. Learning a lot! Well, maybe I should say,... "on the way to learning a lot"! A bit more accurate.

I am looking for feedback on this latest ROM too. Wifey is having tooo many lockups with her new Touch (like twice a day!) would like to know if this ROM helps.

Thanks No2Chem!!

Re: No2Chem nueROM-V (WM 6.1)

Use baseKit-V 107 to insert files into your kitchen, packages I build into rom are located in packages. Windows live is provided in SYS_OPTIONAL if you use windows live. IMPORTANT! You must download the regular rom too and extract os.nb from the nbh to build or else you will be using the wrong XIP!

How do i know i am using the right XIP? PLUS, what is XIP..

Re: No2Chem nueROM-V (WM 6.1)

okay, it mightve been discussed already... i ran imcokemans unlocker got hella confused and worried throughout but made it through.. ran the ruu update with this latest 107 rom and it flashed appropriately..

during the initial setup when i got to configuring my email, sprint customization cabs began to download and install then the phone rebooted. It rebooted with black theme and green menu.. is this normal? or did i mess up somewhere?

and what is the pagepool set to in this rom? Thanks!

edit2: can i remove the customization tool in the add/remove list? what is this anyways?

edit3: once i run the unlocker once, i dont have to do it again unless ive reflashed to a sprint official stock rom??

yes we do. In no way am i diminishing No2's accompliments and his help to the ppc community. dereknjenny04's rom is just a little cleaner thats why alot of people like it. I also used NO2's rom it was good also but had alot of programs that i didnt use. No2 does great work and seems to lead the charge on developing and fixing programs and we all benifit from his hard work and personal interest.

Hi,

Could someone please tell me how i can check if i am using the right XIP?

Could some explain this part to me:
..."IMPORTANT! You must download the regular rom too and extract os.nb from the nbh to build or else you will be using the wrong XIP!"

I think i skip that part.... but my phone is working fine, just a lock up during using text message.

Another thing, i read somewhere that setting your page pool to 0 will make your phone faster and be more stable. IS this true?

for pagepool, just download blee0125's kitchen, and use his pagepoolchanger.exe located in the ruu folder, and you can check/change the pp of any rom.

not sure about removing the customization tool in the add/remove list...not entirely sure on what you are referring to here, but if you DON'T want any of those customizations..just let the phone boot up, and then right when it comes up with customization, just give it a soft-reset, and you're good to go!

for edit3: yes, check, you do not have to unlock again unless you flash back to the stock/oem rom.

good luck!

do you mean no2's rom is cleaner? clean refers to how many other programs etc are pre-installed.

dereknjenny04's rom is indeed a good one, im not disputing that, but no2chem's is undoubtedly cleaner. it comes with virtually nothing pre-installed, whereas dereknjenny04's includes programs such as htc home plugin, htc streaming media player, chess and hearts, windows live, java....etc.

the mere fact that dereknjenny04's rom is based off no2chem's implies that his rom is not as clean, right?

just to clarify for readers i guess, idk..

I love this ROM. I flashed my Touch with it and installed everything from cabs I collected from the forums. Took me all day but it was worth it. I don't know why anyone would want to cook a bloated ROM. My method allows you to have a modular configuration. Does it save on memory when its cooked into the ROM?

The only thing I'm having trouble with is getting the HTC Album working with the HTC Cube and HTC Camera. I can launch it from Programs, but when it comes to launching it from another app, I get errors. I tried a few different cabs I found, none worked. Anyone have a working cab?

Oh and thanks for leaving the HTC Cube in there, saved me a lot of headache.

I have asked this question about 5 times but no answer..

Could someone explained this to me.

Where do i get os.nb...

Here's what i did, i download no2chem 107 used the change pool app and change it to zero " testing it out" and then i used the update rom apps. Am i flashing my phone correctly. Am i using the correct XIP? Please let me know thanks.. I will report back on the zero page pool setting. Thanks again!

Check the registry for opera it may have a bad line in it .... it could be just a simple syntax error

start reading at post #35 and read through to page 5 or 6...

Appears DCD quit his toils on the touch in early Feb. Any idea why?

I noticed there is a setting for the number of days to retreive. I had it set to three I think and was missing an email I wanted to keep in my inbox. I changed it to seven and that d/l'd 3 more messages I hadn't deleted from my phone, but was still misssing the one I needed so I changed the setting to 30 days and WALLA there it was.

Re: No2Chem nueROM-V (WM 6.1)

So i updated yesterday (mainly for the threaded texting) and it went pretty well. But today I've been experiencing some problems that never came up before.

1) When I use the left softkey to open the calendar i get an error message. Any way to fix this?

2) I use my touch as my main dmp so the audio manager is important to me but since upgrading i cant get it to do certain things. When I turn the backlight off, the music shuts off but if the light turns off on its own it plays like normal. Also, when i had the stock windows mobile on, the touch cube had music controls within it when i used the audio manager but now they dont show up. Finally, my version of audio manager has a weird bluish background. How do you change this?

3) The timestamps on text messages i receive from other people are a few hours off but the ones i send are correct.

4) Everytime i do a soft reset, the clock moves back 3 hours
