I know what relocking is... and i'm getting really irritated because nobody seems to understand my question.. i guess. Part of cokeman's unlocker at the end is a relocker... so once I complete that I can then SAFELY flash a custom rom using a RUU? YES or NO? ](*,)

JD thank you for all your hard work. I am truly enjoying this ROM. The only issue for me is syncing songs to my storage card. Some songs I can sync, other I can't. At first I thought it was downloaded songs only that had this problem, but even some CDs I own get the error. I have checked the media rights and I'm good there. Also my wmStorage is inactive. Anyone have any ideas or seen this issue?

how do i change the icon and clock font on the home screen. I can't find wehre to go to change it.

It relocks it so as to keep OEM ROMs from overwriting it again.

I just generally take my card out of the phone for this .... its faster that way

Nice work JD. I got this rom flashed to my Vogue and it rocks! I have to admit that this was the first time I flashed my phone with a new rom, and I am glad to say that it went smoothly.

jd nice rom, only a couple of questions, how would i go about changing the icons for the home screen like to wearther and stuff back to stock instead of the colorful ones and how do i uninstall threaded sms or whatever the msg app is? when i reply or am typing a msg the keyboard covers what i'm typing and cant see it till i retract it, maybe there is a fix?

Read the tread. Those questions have been answered. You cant really uninstall anything. Flashing a ROM make what you have the new "stock" phone. So if you did a hard reset you would still have JD's system going for ya. This tread isnt that long you will find the answers to you queries

Honestly, this is the first PPC Phone that has lasted that lomg without me upgrading the custom ROM :) But will love to try JD's custom ROM.

I noticed the bluetooth hid is removed. does this mean I cant pair the touch with my car for hands free use?

i don't see why you wouldn't be able to pair your phone with your car stereo if it has bluetooth. just make sure you set the radio to discoverable (if thats an option) and search for it with your phone. i don't foresee any problems.

I've been running that new ROM since yesterday and so far I like it.

The only issues I have with it (and its not that big of a deal) is that whenever I try to view my device information, I get the wait symbol indefinitely until I close it out. So something is broken there. Also, the PST codes in the start menu don't all work (debug, data, etc, all show PST in the title bar and then dump you right back to the menu but PST works and that's the important one anyway).

Otherwise, its yet to freeze, I love the way he's got everything set up and skinned (the dialer rocks my world) and its a pretty zippy ROM to boot.

Oh yeah, PiePlus needs to be registered but you can still use PIE with most regular functions anyway - I just grabbed Opera and I'm good now.

did you remove threaded sms? and any option to have the regular today screen?

edit: dont have much to do on this friday night so i jumped in for some testing... on every restart i have to disable the BT sending option and it doesnt seem to save my settings, just like the setting for the instant messenger to not pop up every time i power up. threaded sms seems to be gone. a few keyboards are preloaded and nice. still gotta figure out how to bring back the regulare htc home buttons and look but i can over see that. so far so good. thanks for the great work on this JD

edit2: man this thing is loaded and quick! doesnt seem to have much bugs.

ok not sure if this has anything to do with the rom or just my phone but this morning after my phone had been sitting for about 8 hours charging i tried to hit the power button to wake it up and the screen wouldnt turn back on, the grrn led would blink but nothing. had to take out the battery.

JD any info on why the BTID sender or whatever and instant messenger not saving settings? and i'll give the clean rom a go.

That's just how btid is it doesn't save as far as oz I think that may be a bug in the program I've other threads about this issue

ok now i got it to where i want it, with the addition of spb mobile shell for thumb browsing programs and the update to htc home and hhc customizer i set the home icons back to original and i'm happy with my phone, if you still need testers for that cleam rom i'll check it out also Jd thanks again. no bugs to mention.

edit: mike if you still have the old folder with the first release just extract everything again and replace the old nbh file with the new one. if you dont have it go here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9927 and down load ruu.rar from #3 step and drop the file in the folder and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe hope that helps

i must be stupid. it looks like it reloaded the old one. How do i replace with the new one i dont see the old one.

ok ok just forget about the whole old thing download that ruu.rar and copy the nbh file and run it. that should do it.

can you explain how to do this i am not noticing a difference in the roms the way i am doing it
