Not quite sure how that is better. Most of the readers of this thread ALREADY own a TP.
The TP is a nice phone but alot of owners have had repeated problems with them. I think $49 for the TP2 was a decent deal.

But to each his own. You can pick up a Mogul on the cheap easily on ebay or even here on PPCgeeks.

Okay guys I think this deal is officially dead. Only original orders from the first link are getting processed and shipped, and most people ordering from the new link, including myself, are getting the denial e-mails. Which means I'll go dig a hole and bury myself now.

very sorry to hear that. I think the original link was open for just a few days. When I first saw the thread I jumped at it but I was a bit shocked no one from PPCgeeks really was interested in it... esp seeing all the frustration and how many hoops people were jumping through in the other threads trying to get Sprint to upgrade their TP to a TP2. This one seemed so painless and you actually make money (you can sell your old TP for much more that $50)

Hopefully a new upgrade link will pop up somewhere. Hint, keep your eyes on slickdeals. I don't think the interest is that high here on this board.

I almost bit on this deal when it first popped up, but I did'nt want to re-up my contract since I might jump to VZW in Feb. It seemed to be a good deal though if you're staying with Sprint.

Very true, very true. It does lock you in for another 2 years. Nothing comes free or cheap.

But for those of us who have such ridiculously low contracts (compared to other carriers) with Sprint we are essentially "locked in" anyways. So upping the contract again, isn't that painful...

No call. Here is the process that happened with me:

1. I ordered the day I saw this post (afternoon before Thanksgiving). I checked slickdeals (where this was taken from) and saw that it was legit.

2. Didn't hear anything until Monday (long Thanksgiving holiday) when got the email saying that it was submitted for processing and that it could take up to 7 days to ship because of demand.

3. The next day I noticed online that my sprint account "fulfillment date" had change to 12/1/2011

4. On Wednesday afternoon I got another email with UPS 2nd day tracking number

5. Got the phone on Friday Dec 4. Charged it overnight and activated online.

I didn't leave anything blank and I assume that an e-mail address is required. I read over on slickdeals.net that mostly everyone was using personal e-mail addresses (gmail, yahoo, etc.) so I went ahead and put mine in. Seems they weren't validating anybody's corporate status or affiliation and just processing orders. Of course that was before they were flooded with thousands of people hitting up the site. Now only "legit" customers are gettin love.
