fresh install of Google Maps on new phone - magic?

I hope I make sense cause I'm in disbelief at the moment...

I bought a used Touch Pro -- but new to me :) -- from someone a few days ago in Indiana. I installed Google Maps and, the first time I use it, I immediately see an aerial view map of my OLD address in California. When I go to get directions, my OLD address is already listed!

I am thinking of how in the world Google Maps has that address already in this application?! I never typed it in cause it's the first time I've used this app on this phone!

I've never even typed that address into my phone AT ALL.

So, I think, maybe I logged into my google account automatically and maps is grabbing my gmail signup info? Or info from somewhere else is automatically input into Maps?! I haven't used or thought of that address in several years! (I did search around a bit to see if there was an answer but maybe I'm not using the right search terms.) It's creepy. Anyone have an idea?

I also opened and used Sprint Navigation (another map app) and it didn't have my old address.

The guy who sold you the phone had been stalking you for months. There is the proof. Call the cops.

Skynet knows it all!! LOL

Well you it could be some piece of data from an old sync.

Has to be from your Google account. Freaky, though.

Yea the newest Google Maps allows you to sign in through the application.. you must have your information linked to your gmail account or profile with google.

omg, looking into this further, i just checked my addy in gmail and it's my new address which would make sense cause my gmail account was setup AFTER i moved. so that can't be it.

can't be a data sync as i haven't synced anything. i just got the phone on friday and installed Google Maps yesterday.

if it were somehow linking itself to the searches I've done on my laptop while logged into Gmail, then it should have tons of addresses in the app. but, it has just that one addy.

sooo... i'm really weirded out now, but that's probably pretty obvious since i'm writing this at 4:40am. i can't stop thinking about it! i have to know! LOL

i realize there must be some concrete explanation. i just wish i knew what it was...

interesting to know...

the aerial view i saw tho wasn't the general sf bay tho, i was actually looking right at my street. and then when i go to menu -> get directions -> start point, my actual OLD address is staring back at me. like it is right now.
