Cricket "text message cannot be sent"
 

can anyone help with this? i've flashed the "everyone works out of the box rom" and i got the *228 to work with the 01040 prl but went back to 1050 due to it not being roaming. it won't program *228 this way, but the phone works to make and receive calls. it will also receive texts. But i cannot send texts and always get this error. i've read that the *228 is spotty anyways, but the prl should be the latest i think. After the phone updated from the 01040 it went to a 38080 i think but *228 stopped working after that.

back to the issue. outgoing texts do not work, but literally everything else does. the phone does not have a web data plan so i cannot test mms but when i go to web it does ask me to buy the web for $5 through cricket.

I get this message when roaming. The text actually gets sent though.
I never had that on older ROMs.

For your issue with *228 try *22804, as for text messaging: Are you roaming or in a cricket market? if you are in a cricket market area call customer care and "tell' them to refresh the text "sms" feature on your account. The ability or lack there of to send texts has very little to do with your PRL or phone and more to do with crickets screwed up system.

*22804 as said above, or hop on palringo and look for the Cricket group, plenty of folks there to help you out.

I always have better luck using the 1039 prl
