Touch Pro Stuck at Loading Screen
My TP is stuck at the Touch Pro loading screen where the version information is displayed.
I had it running an older Juicy ROM for months with no issues. Last night I went to use it and it was locked up (displaying the home screen but not responding to input). I did a soft reset and it wouldn't get past the Touch Pro loading screen, so I pulled out the battery for a few minutes and tried again. Same thing. I am able to flash a rom from SD or in bootloader mode from the PC. I can hard reset and have done so several times. With the Juicy ROM I had and also the latest Juicy ROM, it never gets past the Touch Pro screen. I tried flashing a stock ROM and it will get all the way to the screen "Tap the screen to setup your device", but it won't get past that. It seems I have a hardware issue, but any last suggestions? |
Re: Touch Pro Stuck at Loading Screen
"flash dance"
but start off by flashing a stock rom in bootloader mode via .exe file |
Re: Touch Pro Stuck at Loading Screen
I had the same thought. I'm in the process of downloading it now, but it's going slow.

Re: Touch Pro Stuck at Loading Screen
I flashed this:
http://rs102.rapidshare.com/files/17...3_Ship.exe.zip Flash process went fine. Phone gets to the alignment process and I cannot get past the first point. Touching it with the stylus does nothing. I've also tried a hard reset after the flash, same thing. Also, even though it is booting to this point, the boot process is much slower than it used to be. The phone is spending a lot of time at the Touch Pro loading screen. |
Re: Touch Pro Stuck at Loading Screen
I think I might have gotten it working.
It appears that the issue was related to the stupid (factory) LCD protector the whole time. It seems there was a small bit of moisture that was causing the touch screen to think it was being touched when it wasn't. I'm happy that it is working now, but I wish I would have noticed it before all the flashing. I had a few contacts that I hadn't had a chance to backup yet. Any tips for removing and re-gluing the plastic screen cover? |
