data speeds

Got a weird issue. Running a speed test on my phone I get around 1mbps down. Tethered to my pc I can only get a max of 300kbps down. Why is that?

Are you tethering via USB, Bluetooth or Wifi?

Maybe you have some other stuff running at the same time on the PC? Instant messenger, e-mail, antivirus updates, P2P...

Tethering with USB and I'm sure no other programs are running on the pc.
