Gmail won't sync
 

I cannot get my phone to connect to gmail. I recently flashed a new ROM. Is anyone else having any issues or is the ROM? I can connect to my other pop3 email just fine. It finds the settings for gmail and tries to connect but it just says cannot connect blah blah blah....

Which ROM is it?

By 'sync' do you mean you're setting it up for push? Or imap? I know either way, letting it download the settings is not what you want to do. For setting up imap, you need to enter a garbage email so you can fill in the settings yourself.

It always worked before though using the default settings. I guess I'll give your idea a try.

Tried the manual set up and still won't connect. Just say error connecting. I'm using Psyki's new ROM, psyki 4.

Not being familliar with that particular ROM... I'd suggest you try a different one and see if that works.. since that's the only variable you mentioned. All your other data stuff works?

i am on this rom and experienced the same issue. i went to seeting on your email and double checked the pop seetings. it is putting a number on the end of the incoming mail server adrress that is not needed. deleted the numbers on the end of the adrees and your good to go. weird hows it only does that on gmail. the adress should be imap.gmail.com. for both incoming and outgoing server address.

Still won't for me. Not sure what it is but somethings messed up with this rom. I deleted the extra number, did a manual set up and nothing works. Flashing to a know good ROM.

Unchek "tasks" when setting up with Microsoft exchange.It should work regardless of the rom you use.
