Corrupted start menu screen

I get this corruption only when I access the Start menu and start to scroll - every other screen works fine - happens on all the custom ROMs I've tried recently - any ideas? Thanks.

I've had that after changing the theme. Try changing the theme back to the original theme on your ROM. You can still click on those buttons, even if they look like that.

I figured out what is causing the "smearing" problem, but I don't know why it is happening. Everything is fine until I install the PPST2.01.cab for Verizon GPS. Then the smearing starts. I've repeated the procedure several times, always with the same result. Any ideas??

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.7 (Windows Mobile; PPC; Opera Mobi/35166; U; en) Presto/2.2.1)

mine does that too sometimes... and it also makes the icons misaligned when I slide out the keyboard with the start menu open.

just very Sporadicaly though

that occurs when the theme is corrupted or broken. the PPST cab must be doing something with the theme, can you upload the cab?

You can try a fresh copy of that cab, might works.

I looked at it and nothing stood out, but it does have a setup.dll in it and there is no way (for me at least) to know what that contains...

edit: well you could ask lllboredlll I guess
