omg ihave flashed about 8 differnt roms to my fone . and for some reason i can get the web to work through stocks and weather but opera will not go to any pages !! i dont understand my setings and my resigstry all look good just opera will not connect wats going on is anyone else haveing this problem. anyone can help i have metro pcs

Im having the same problem,after im so happy of having on metro i barely last a week with the internet working =/ i think its probably metro changed the security system.

well i have ben using a cab just like that a full metro web arcsoft installer cab . but ill try this one on for size to. b back in a little tell you guys how it whent.

ok i installed it mms seems to work and IE. but OPERa still not functioning,argh.. i tryiing version 9.71b and 9.51b .

ya i switched back to an energy rom from oct 22 that fixed it i think it has somthing to do with newer manila maybe kuz all the ones i tried that it woudlnt work had newer manila versions.

Okay... I've got internet. IE works fine. I'm still on 6.1, still using MR 4, been using it for months, never had a problem. Hard reset a week or so ago. Opera worked fine afterwards.

Yesterday, Opera stopped connecting. Then it did. Then it stopped again. The error message reads "The remote server refuses to perform the request. This address is not available." That's not the normal error message when the internet is down. IE works fine. Just not Opera.

Ideas? Anyone?

I would do that, if I thought it would help. I don't think that's it. I've been using this rom for months with no problem. I even hard reset about a week or so ago and redid all the settings. Opera worked fine until yesterday. It started to give me the error message, then it started working again, then it started giving me the error again. IE works, everything that's supposed to connect to the internet works. Except Opera.

And I've noticed at least a few other people having the same problem on different roms. The error message on its face indicates that it's reaching the server (otherwise how could the server "refuse" the request)... how would flashing a new rom change anything?

I'm not trying to argue. Just trying to understand... and I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

well I been using the same rom on every touch pro I flash for a customer and I never have any issues whether it be in regard to using opera and full sending and receiving picture message. if your interested, I know your on hofo, get 25 contributing posts and I will send a copy to you.

Hello to all , I have a quick ? if u don't mind . I just got my touch pro flashed to metro pcs and I wanted too know if it's possible too get the web and picture mail with the sprint stock rom . Thank you for any help .

im also having issues with opera using psyki rom, juss started randomly too...i do know this, if it helps at all, i work for a metro dealer and was talking to a rep...he told me they where updating their systems last week and again yesterday i dont know if that has to do with our problem...but IE still works with the Metroweb homepage probaly cuz of the samsung code has it (metro newest WM smartphone)...its really strange though

Well, thanks to pimpsuprazx, Opera is up and running again on my TP. Try this version of Opera. So far, so good.

Just to let u guys know...

After Flashing different roms, which I do constantly trying them out,,,

yes I have encountered that also w/ Opera, but after a few try's and soft resets, or maybe a few hours or so,,
It justs starts working again,,,,

my weather and email works without problems...

I have the $40 plan w/ text, w/ $3 value pak.... internet and mms....

actually noticed this happening about 3 or 4 weeks ago.. with Opera..

also messenger doesnt work for me no more...
thats why i took it off my signature, that happened months ago... it does work w/ wifi...
sometimes my IE stops working also after a fresh flash.. but that starts working faster than the Opera.. server refuses to give access...

but after it starts working with that fresh flash, everything is working flawlessly..

try this ##778# enter your unlock code should be 000000
then in the lower left tab browse to security tab ,
you should see your phone number then under that metropcs as the password,
exapmle:
4085685895@mymetropcs.com
metropcs
4085685895@mymetropcs.com
metropcs

change your number to a old Metropcs number thats NOT ACTIVE. reset then try the web its should now connect with no redirect, let me know how that works for you ..

also check the MIP setting make sure your Ip thing is set to simple IP

would you believe I haven't checked those settings in month since I set them up...

the first set for my password was in different characters... couldn't understand it,,, it got all mumble up....
that could of probably been the situation..
Thanks for the heads up... I didn't even think to check since I know it was set up...
edit:
I guess for msn messenger u would need to have that in your service plan, which I dont,
but it did work since Jan - July or so... that is when I believe it stopped access, dont really know.. don't use it much anyways...

I will wait for my next flash to see what happens w/ Opera and IE... this weekend...
Lets see what the chefs have cooking... for our TP's..

My phone does that sometimes.now if i open internet explorer it works but opera want open gives error.whats wrong with it.

install and use this no errors Opera mini 5 :P
