Can send mms but not receive with metropcs settings on my ppc6850. Help!
Im having an issue with being able to recieve mms. I can send just fine though. I had originally gone to someone to have the internet flashed onto my phone but for some reason they couldnt get it to work. I went into the ##778# settings and changed a few settings and low n behold I got the internet, email and sending mms working but i cant figure out why i cant receive. I also cant use the IM thats origanally on here. I Havent tried downloading it directly yet but im sure if i did it would probably work that way. Id prefer to use the one that was preloaded on here though. I already changed the settings to use the Metropcs settings but it still doesnt want to connect. Can someone please help me on this??? I googled it like crazy but i seemt o have everything in place. The MMS composer ArcSoft version 5.0.20.24. Please help cuz its rather annoying to be able to send but have to receive through my email.

howardforums, sorry no link, has the best metro steps.. plus the cab that will auto replace the guardian file with the dummy file so it all works as it should

ever get this resolved ? im having the same issues. after reading all the same threads that link back to the same 2 guides i found a cab file that actually was able to get my mms to work. part ways. i can send mms files but when i get them it says that it cant be received i retry and retry and it just wont come through. i do have internet enabled. at least for some of the apps. for some reasons some of the apps wont connect no matter what i do. but for the most part its there and working along with sending pictures just no receiving.
how can i tell what sms/mms composer im using. im running the energyrom. ive in stalled the wap/mms cab from metro mafia. that included the arcsoft. however the composer does not look like any of the arcsoft ones ive used with other roms to send my sms messages. also the messages do not seem to be threaded like they used. they used to show up like a conversation showing each reply one after another. now they are all seperate messages. could this be an issue with not being able to receive mms messages ? edit: Fixed. i had to go back to the registery editer and add the 1 in from the device-mdn the metro mafia cab left it out i then used the picmail/arcsoft remover cab. then installed the jd arcsoft sprint cab. after that i had to go into the settings for arc soft and edit the server info and then i was able to get a picture message. the serve info can be found in the mms faq hope this helps anyone else that has a partial working mms system |
