Prevent Heat Based Charging Shutdown?

I'd read before that using some of nuerom.com's apps - touch pro users were able to change or eliminate the temperature warning that stops our phones from charging. I've actually been trying - but can't get it to work. I tried to install Nuepower - but there appears to be multiple options - and perhaps I installed the wrong one.

Can someone explain exactly what program is used to do this, as well as the steps required?

I'd really appreciate it. A couple of times, while using GPS - my charging's been cancelled and I'll arrive at my destination with little power. Also - I have my backlight stay on while charging - and if charging is cancelled, the screen goes off while using GPS. It's quite annoying, and I'm willing to accept the risks involved with this procedure.

I have had battery heat issue & stop charging.
Yes the GPS did that 2 me also, but now my current setup runs cold to warm, even with GPS running this mourning for an hour with no battery drain while plugged in!...
I'm surprised you want to put up with this problem.

You may be avoiding the inevitable...
Hard-reset, flash another rom.. I am on latest 2186x rom.

The easy-est solution is to change your "radio", even if you like the present one, it is not behaving with your present rom & setup.

I like the latest radios performance, BUT I still stay with the older radio that gives me the best battery performance& most people like it.
It is in my sig : 1.04.05V
Your hot-pocket days will be over :)

Thanks - but I knew where to download the various files. Can you tell me which of those I need to install (nuepowercpl or nuebattery for Touch Pro I'm guessing?) - and what settings I have to change?

As to the other comment, I'm actually running stock (hard to believe) and I'm quite happy with it's performance right now. This is the only issue I'd like to change.

I built a small USB-powered fan into a project case for this issue. I take the back cover off, put the phone on the project case and it keeps it very nice and cool.

the app that nuerom has, has to be turned on AFTER your phone overheats and it stops charging, THEN run the app, and it will allow for the charging to continue..

....pretty sure its plainly stated on his page how to run the app

I would love to see a picture of this!

I feel your pain, you might also want to look into those "AC Vent Cradles" their only a couple of bucks, I bought one long time ago and it has done wonders while using GPS..etc. I don't have the air blowing full blast on the TP I have the air vent control blowing just enough to keep it cool.

Now I can drive hrs on trips using gps and not worry about the battery.

If it's plainly stated - can you link to the instructions? I haven't found them anywhere on the site - and have already failed twice in trying to get this to work. Thanks.

Otherwise, I'll have to think about how I can add or direct a fan to my arrangement, because I've currently got a dashboard setup that I really like - with a non-slip cradle that I can just move as I wish.
