Do you mean viewing video such as youtube or hulu, or video calls? Also, have you tried SkyFire? It's far from perfect, and over-heats my TP - but it handles flash well enough to watch Family Guy (well, at least until Hulu deactivated the TP software!)

My Bad I just had a blonde moment I meant to say Skyfire. Video isn't that clear but it's still watchable.

I just hate how almost inevitably I end up hitting some obscure button on my screen or slide out keyboard, and SkyFire feels the need to go back to the home page - plus, it doesn't support multi-tab... and... it makes my battery last all of 9 minutes, lol. Skyfire is great for certain short-term use and its kind of the only option for Flash at this point, so I don't want to sound like I'm 'hating' on it by any means, but phew... after over a decade of constant innovation, consumer begging, and billions of dollars in profit from multiple cellular companies - you'd think in 2009 we'd be able to do a little web browsing.

so is this about SKYPE or Skyfire...

Skype= VoIP
Skyfire= Web Brower

either way both work on the TP, and i thought Skyfire and Hulu was fixed a few months back... ask DARREN from the forums here, he seems to be the Skyfire scholar really... he'll tell all kind of places to view things, free ppv, sports, he really pays attention to all that stuff

Oringally it was about Skype, then someone mentioned something about Skype but then said they meant to type Skyfire. Both work fine on my TP, earlier I had said I had to uninstall and reinstall it - so everything is fine :)

Re: Skype Incompatibility with TP?

I use Skype on my TP fairly often, it works decently even without the headset. What really surprises me is that it even works when I'm in a 1x data area. Of course there's no video, but other than that no complaints.

Skyfire, while frustrating (stupid homepage) still works pretty well as a flash player. I was at a NASCAR race (not really a fan, but was a good place to get drunk) and watched three quarters of a college football game on my phone. Does drain the battery, but what do you expect when streaming video?

The funny/ironic part is, the actual example phone they use in the picture, is the Moto-Q, which I also own and it didn't even work either! Haha...

PS: If I had to 'guess' Skype would only work with models that have an integrated front facing camera for video chat... so, does anyone know of upcoming plans at Verizon to release such a magical device!?

I think to make it work, you have to leave the cab file in the my documents folder, then run it, then delete it later. Not sure though

Hate to wake up an old thread, please forgive me guys.

Do any of you have the LAST version of Skype for WM, it appears they have discontinued Windows Mobile Support.

Thanks,
