Bad radio?

I just upgraded to the touch pro, I know I'm behind the times, but ever since I activated it, it hasn't been able to connect to data. It says EV and tells me I have service but it will not connect to data. Sprint customer service had me do lots of resets and I flashed Mighty rom 4 to see if it helped but it didn't. I even updated the radio version to 1.12 but still no data. Is it just a bad device or does anyone have any suggestions that I can try?

Thanks

Flash it back to stock, relock it, then take it to the sprint store.

The the problem with going to the sprint store is that even if it's stock they aren't really the brightest bulbs in the lamp. Plus I sold it myself through RadioShack. The question is do you think I'll need to get another handset?

I had this happen when I got my replacement phone. Call Sprint and speak to someone in tech support. They will have you update your profile and they may have to have you enter your info after they "unlock" it. That should work. Also, I think there is a thread either here or on XDA-Developers that talks about this. I think your phone is ok.

Thanks for the ideas but I called tech support last night and they had me "unlock" it and change that info but still no dice.

It sounds like your phone is not authinticating with Sprint, go to ##debug# or ##debug-snd then HDR at the bottom it should say 1-authinticated. If not you now have the fire power with Sprint. Take it to a Sprint corp store and make them fix it.

It's not authinticating with Sprint thats for sure. I can't get the ##debug# or ##debug send to do anything. Is there another way to see the 1-authenticated?

Hey I got the ##debug# to work but it's asking for the unlock code, any suggestions?

Re: Bad radio?

The unlock code is the MSL, which is specific to your phone. Look for a program called MSL Grabber, it will give you the unlock code.
