ActiveSync Gone Wild
 

Hi everyone, my activesync seem to have gone wild. I noticed today that my contacts went form 423 to 2300~ !!! I look through my address book and BAM! Every entry is at least 3 times and some as many as 6 times! WTF HAPPENED?!? Is there a way to fix this screw up on this massive scale easily or am i doomed to go through virtually each and everyone manually and sort it out?? Please help!

not sure what caused that, but this will take care of your duplicates. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=41334
i suggest you look into Microsoft My Phone and getting away from Activesync, if you can.

Awesome! That worked for me! Saved me countless hours of time!

i do use both cuz of the stupidity at work. They wont allow us to get setup on the exchange server unless we pay them 20 bucks a month..ugh.. so i use active sync to get my calendar out of outlook and i use ms phone to get my contacts , calendar etc backed up.

Titan,

How many phones are you syncing? I found out that syncing multiple phones will cause active sync to duplicate phone book entries.
