TP2 camera for TP1?
 

Seeing as the hardware is probably the same, can we expect a port of the higher resolution TP2 camera for our TP1's, now that the HardSPL is out?

first of all it is almost for sure not the same hardware and the drivers are not too much better anyway, there are also some very good fixes out there already for the touch pro 1

Did you actually disassemble both phones and look at the hardware? There is more to saying they are the same than looking at the back of the phone and seeing a camera.

CMOS chip, lens, autofocusing motor, etc.

no, but if you take pictures they come out the same, nothing better, u wanna go buy one and take it apart be my guest. I have taken pictures with each device and I see no difference in quality.

the resolution for video is definetly double(640×480) than that of the TP1, not sure what that does for the still pics though.

Also, the TP2 has manual ISO settings, so they definetly have some different drivers for the TP2

Everything I've read states the CMOS is the same in both

hate to chime in here, but your comparing a dvd, one is for ps3 and one is for xbox360

and saying they look the same so the must be the same.

not to mention the 2 different languages. but is one dvd dual layer?

so a 2mpxl camera will most likely take the same picture as another 2mpxl camera.

doesnt mean they are the same.
