Help cannot activate with custom rom loaded
 

Hey guy I just upgraded to a hero today and I am trying to use my touch pro on my secondary line.... So I decided to activate online... Long story short .... auto mode did not work so i entered the ## codes and did it manually... Rebooted device and still get error 1012.... Is it possible that I must load stock pro 6.1 relock then attempt to activate.... All experience and guidance will be helpful in sorting this out!!! Oh the rom is the barely edited sprint 6.5 rom posted on this forum...

In my experience TP got error 1012 anytime I tried to network program it. I always had to have Sprint do it.

tHANKS... Also mods since this is a *custom rom* question I figured it belonged in that forum ..... Didn't know ALL activation questions went in touch pro side even when only concerning a custom ROM :scratch:

I had this problem a week ago. the answer: you have to flash back to sprint stock rom, activate the phone and make sure its working (make a test call) and then flash back to whatever rom you want. worked for me :)


**sprint, or whoevers stock rom you use. i juse happen to use sprint.

i am pretty sure there wqs a cab that could fix that. obviously try first ##3282# and make sure the first item is set to1 NOT 0 or click there menu reset and get the update profie cab then update profile and all should be good
