TP Screen intermittently fails to turn on
 

Hello,

My Touch Pro is just under a year old. Recently I began having problems with the screen. Sometimes when I push the power button to turn it on, nothing shows up. You can tell something's happening because the screen lights up ever so faintly, sort of like if your TV is turned on but not connected to the cable box, so you just get the black screen but there's a faint glow and you can tell it's powered on.

Other times, it gives me something resembling the blue screen of death. Soft reset does not seem to help.

The only thing that works is to let it sit on its own for a few minutes, and then usually I'm able to turn it back on again and it looks completely normal, like nothing ever happened. I've seen this behavior occur regardless of how much battery power is left, too. Sometimes it turns on, and sometimes it won't. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

on mine, it does that if I have the photo album open and I shut the screen off. But that's about it. Just have to hit the home key or the back key. Then it starts working again.

My TP had a similar problem except it would just happen when I put my phone to sleep. The screen would have no image but you could tell the backlight was on, I just reflashed and the problem went away, hope this helps. If you're on stock rom you may want to try updating from the htc site.
