OEM WM 6.5 for the TP?
 

Will there be a OEM upgrade to WM 6.5 for the Touch Pro? I see some of the new HTC devices are coming out with 6.5. Just wondering if anyone knows if this will happen for us TP users.

Don't hold your breath because the answer is most likely NO.

This phone has been out for almost a year now and carriers don't usually invest too much time in the upgrade of the OS unless the phones just started coming out when the OS upgrade happened. This is to try and give you the incentive to buy the next phone.

If you want 6.5 you are going to have to use the ROMS found on this site and XDA-developers.

I haven't found a 6.5 ROM yet that is stable. The only stable no problems ROM is the stock 6.1 ROM that I have found. If anyone knows of a stable-good-for-everyday-use-no-lockup 6.5 ROM, let me at it!

energy rom, i used to use them since he started then back in july and they were all stable with a lot of goddies....

Now to only throw fuel to the fire...

Yesterday a Sprint Executive said they are working on a 6.5 upgrade and it can be expected in early 2010. We shall wait and see...

"Updates" implies more than one Windows Mobile phone will be getting it. And they only have one that has been officially earmarked for Upgrade by HTC. As a result, we MIGHT get a 6.5 update!
